AfterGraft is a multidisciplinary creative studio housed within the walls of the John Marley Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne.

The studio was established to support the development of each resident designer’s individual practice within a shared, collaborative environment.

Having become close friends during our time at university, we envisioned a space that would allow us to continue working alongside one another beyond graduation — somewhere to come and develop ideas outside of our day jobs, challenge each other creatively, and remain in close proximity as our practices evolve.

While our individual work explores differing themes, narratives, materials, and methods, we share a collective ambition: to position the studio as a catalyst for collaboration within Newcastle’s art and design community.
